Deze afwijking veroorzaakt verschillende (gezondheids)problemen en een team van professionals is nodig om het kind te helpen in zijn ontwikkeling. Een schisis kan problemen met o.a. voeding, spraak, gehoor en gebit veroorzaken. Ook worden kinderen geopereerd door de KNO arts aan moeilijkheden met ademhaling en gehoor. Naast de chirurgische ingrepen wordt tandzorg, orthodontie, spraaktherapie, voedingsondersteuning en psychologische ondersteuning gratis aangeboden.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"nfd-container onderdeel van het schisis programma zijn muzieklessen. Deze zijn gestart in 2012 als een klein blokfluitklasje, en tot op heden uitgebreid tot een groot sociaal muziekprogramma waar kinderen met en zonder een schisis samen muziek maken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-header-background-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-73faa063450161de8562909d0377b360 wp-block-paragraph\">Wij geloven dat wij samen met de ouders deze kinderen de juiste en
